Welcome in and thanks for stopping by!  My name is Ariel and I am an artist living in Ogden, Utah with my partner and our three border collies.  I started doing art in 2025 when I got bored one day and picked up some of my boyfriend’s art supplies.  I quickly found that I really enjoyed oil pastels.  They were a little messy and awkward at first, but every time I picked them up I discovered new skills with them.  I love how vibrant oil pastels are.  

Deep down, art has been an intimate, lovely exploration of my own brain.  I fell into a depression in 2019-2023 and coming out of that for a long time my brain and I were not friends.  I was afraid of the pain my head was capable of.  In allowing my brain to create, it has been an immensely celebratory discovery how many beautiful and good things are inside my own head.  

Some people spend their entire lives creating art.  I recognize that I am new to this.  With every piece I create I learn something new.  I am constantly growing and in an exciting phase of my art journey.  Finding art has been an inspiration that continues to build upon itself the more I do.  I can’t wait to see where this takes me in a year… in 10… in 30…
